Don't have the exact address of the Adams County Courthouse, but it is in
Hastings, Ne. It is right in downtown Hastings, about 2 blocks off of
Burlington St, which is a main street. The City Hall which is right near
there add:. is:
239 Denver Sr. Phone # (402) 463-2411. The staff was extreamly helpful
when I was there. There is also the Adams Co. Historical Society which
is located at 1330 N. Burlington St. Phone # (402) 463-5838. I'm not
sure what they have other than a muesum. I've not found them to be very
active. Also there is a City Library at 517 W. 4th. Phone # (402)
463-9855. I found old newspapers on film & also, don't remember how, but
the marriage record for my gr. grandparents & much other info there. I
think City Directories also. Its been awhile since I was there.
Sorry, but I can't help with Webster Co.
If ya have time & energy, I would appreciate it if you would look in
1880-1900 City Directories for Edward & Everett SLOCUM & Norman C.

Also, a fairly nice, but inexpensive motel is on the south west side of
town, I think on Hwy. 6.
