I agree that they have a long way to go -- I looked elsewhere on the BLM site
and they began with records after 1908. No help to anyone who's looking for
records before then (like myself, whose great great grandparents homesteaded
in the 1860s and 70's). However I must agree that this is a tremendous task
and I don't want to diminish the BLM's efforts in any way!
