I am Dorothy Sawatzki Coutsoubos, born in Omaha, NE, 1943. My father was John Jacob Sawatzki, from Omaha, 8-17-12 to 9-21-84. He died in Washington state. His father was Jacob Sawatzki who (I think) had a brother named Henry. Jacob worked for the Union Pacific Railroad and died unexpectedly of a heart attack in his early fifties (I think) leaving a widow Rose Cecelia Mitchell Sawatzki, and eight children. (My father was their oldest, and he was already married at the time.) There are many Sawatzki family members still in Omaha. Anna Nachtigal, I think, was my great grandmother. I am very confused on details, but my uncle William Sawatzki, son of Rose Cecelia Mitchell Sawatzki and Jacob Sawatzki knows the family history.
