on ancestry.com, an article by Michael John Neill explains it
quite well.. In my family, there is considerable intermarriage. I
feel as am my own grandparent or related to self at times. my
great uncle Jon & grandfather JB, other brother JC were married.
Jon married Toni.. toni being the aunt to JB's and JC's wifes.
In addition to that --Jon and Toni were first cousins, thus
grandparents were 2nd cousins as were JC and his spouse.. The
common being for the boys--the grandparents, and for Toni her
parents... I am on my genealogical chart the 18th generation, Have
not established if this type relationship existed prior to the 12th
generation. but suppose, considering the limited out of home
relationships and travel.
This intermarriage has produced some highly intelligent and high
society minded personalities.
