Don--just in case you dont already know it, North Platte was one of UNION PACIFIC RR main terminals and practically whole town was employed by them. I have lost the url ads, but I think it was thru either Greeley or Boone county searching I ran across a site that had the Union roster of the trainmen working on that division, also there was a lady who started a site of NE history which was mighty interesting. found several of my clan there.
