Reference Merrick County, Nebraska. I am The great grandson of Jochim Giese
and Susanna Kolp.
My mother is Margaret Bowker Duemling and is the daughter
of Minnie Giese who died on February 17,1911 in Hardman, Oregon. She is
buried in Chapman, Merrick County, Nebraska
I have recovered the same information that you report but have been unable
to get beyond it.
We do have considerable information given to my mother from a family bible
by Harry B. Giese, my mother's uncle who passed away in 1974. It lists
10 children of Jocquin and Susanna Kolp. According to Harry B., Susanna
Kolp was born in Traer, Tama County, Iowa of early Pennslyvania dutch settlers
though the 1900 census said she was born in Penn.
The children are as follows:
Ernie Carolien 1870-? Mary Elizabeth (Bayne) 1871-1949
Bertha Sarah (Hood) 1874-1932, Henry August 1876-1955
Willie Jocquin 1979-? Emilie Dorris 1881-1963 Eggerr Reinhard 1883-? Minnie
Elvinie Bowker 1886-1911, Harry B 1889-1974? and Ed Giese ?
I have more information on where these relatives are burried if you desire
it. Hope this information is useful.
