I will transcribe and forward the information as time permits, and as my receipt of xerox'd Church records continue. I have limited my research into the 1866-1868 time frame (more or less). To the best of my knowledge, St. John's (now closed) was the first formalized Catholic Church in Columbus Nebraska that was active during the time period that my ancestors, Walenty LASEK and Rosalia MROZINSKA(I), arrived and homesteaded in the area (Duncan Nebraska). When the St. Stanislaus Catholic Church of Duncan Nebraska was founded, a good portion of their early Church records were simply transcribed from the Old St. John's archives and written by the Priest into the St. Stanislaus books. Appropriately, it would seem, examining the initial and original sacramental scribe would be advantageous in my research. While I research my Families early genealogy, it seems reasonable to make the entries available to others who may have a similiar interest in their Families' early history. I don't believe that any of St. John's archives have been transcribed in the past, so it seems that this may be the start. You may do with the following information as you would like.
