Fannie Prucca was born in Prague, Bohemia, March 9,1849
and died at her home twelve miles south of Rushville on May 28,1929. She was united in marriage with Frank Kuchera in 1869. They emmigrated to the United States in 1875, and settled near Marshalltown, Iowa, where they resided for eleven years. In 1886 they moved to Omaha, Ne., where they resided two years. In 1889 they moved to Sheridan Co., Ne., and settled on a homestead twelve miles south of Rushville. Her husband died in 1893 leaving her with a family of eight children and 160 acres of land. She won out in the struggle with hardship that only settlers in that early day can recall. She died in peace and plenty and leaves to mourn the following children: Miss Mary Kuchera, Mrs. Albie Snyder, Jennie Kuchera, Mike H. Kuchera, Fred A. Kuchera, Harry J. Kuchera, Frank M. Kuchera, all of Rushville; besides twelve grand children and a host of friends.
