Phyllis Marlene Rose, 66 of Hay Springs passed away June 26, 2005 at the Pioneer Manor Nursing Home.
Memorials may be sent to Pioneer Manor Nursing Home in Hay Springs.
She was born November 10, 1938 in Rushville, to Raymond and Ruth (Dexter) Brownlow. She grew up North of Hay Springs and had a happy childhood with brother George Brownlow and sister Margaret Talbot. She attended Craven Creek School through eighth grade and completed a year and a half at Hay Springs High School.
She was united in marriage with Donald Ralph Rose on February 28, 1956 at the age of 17. Phyllis devoted herself to her husband and six children. After Donaldís death in 1970, she continued to support her family on her own.
After her children were grown and had a life of their own the next twelve years were spent with her loving companion Robert Ainslie. They worked side by side at Bobís Bar and Grill in Hay Springs. She was very well known for her homemade daily specials.
She loved her home and spent many happy hours working in the garden, sitting on the deck at the latke, fishing, playing cards, watching her grandchildren play ball, and cooking (she was known to have the best buns in town), but most of all, she was very devoted to her family who will cherish her loving memory for ever.
Phyllis is survived by daughter: Sharon and son-in-law Dennis Persons of Hay Springs; daughter: Sally and son-in-law John Mihalek of Dix; daughter: Salena and son-in-law Rick Rosane of Gordon; daughter: Shelly Rose and companion Duane Tripp of Casper, Wyo.; daughter: Sandy and son-in-law Danny Avery of Hay Springs; extended family Bobby and Judy Ainslie of Douglas, Wyo., Vick and Diane of Rock Springs, Wyo., fifteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; sister: Margaret Talbot of Rushville; and brother George Brownlow of Ellsworth.
