Hello Brad, I have not looked into your specific questions but I can tell you where Mattie is on the 1900 and 1910 census reports. 1900, Lebanon, Red Willow, NE and 1910, Lincoln, Ward 4, Lancaster, NE. ON Dec. 25, 1887, Martha Parson Skull married Samuel Sherman Kinkead, s/o John and Rachel Kinkead of OH, in Furnas co. NE. Children are Clarence Willard, Clifton, and Gladys. Another dau. on the 1900 born Nov. 1890 but could not make out her name.
The marriage ended in divorce and Samuel went to Portland OR.
Son Clarence went to WA State by 1920 so Mattie may have went there for that reason. Although Clarence died in Los angeles in 1958.
Mattie's family came from IA to Furnas co, NE betw. 1880 and 1885.
