In 1863 Carl Rudolf Neumann born in 1847 in Passow, Uckermark, Prussia migrated to Queensland with his parents Julius Adolph Neumann ( Father Franz Neumann) and Johanne ( Christina) Winkler ( Father Gottlieb Winkeler). He married Wilhelmine Caroline Kucks in Ipswich, Queensland Australia in 1874. She was born in Armsmakle, Prussia about 1854. Her parents were were Johann Kucks and Johanne Ehling. His siblings, who came to Australia with him were Julius born in 1845, Johanne born in 1848, Therese born in 1851, Hermann born in 1855 and Wilhelm ( Albert) born in 1857
