Hi Phil and Carol,

I have a map of Maine on my desk, and I'd just like to add to Phil's posting
that Topsfield, ME, is just north of Princeton, ME, where my KIDDER
ancestors lived. In fact, my great-grandfather, George "Sanford" KIDDER,
was born in Princeton in 1870.

Between Princeton and Topsfield is Waite, ME, and Topsfield is only a few
villages/towns from the New Brunswick border. Because of the
borderline, Princeton is much closer to the NB border, and the towns of
Woodland (Baileyville) and Baring, ME, are the next towns south, and, next,
is Calais, ME, with its sister-town of St. Stephen, NB (just across the
St. Croix River from each other).

Hope this helps.

Betty (near Lowell, MA)

I'd just like to add the families which my KIDDER's married into (from that
area):
GREENLAW
WILKINS
HUNTLEY
BRADFORD
DAVIS
McLAUGHLIN
KILLMAN (CALNAN)

These were mostly ME / NB families (as they moved back and forth).
In the late 1800's, there were more families involved.
