"Vermont State Archives digitizes maps

The Vermont State Archives has begun a project to digitize the maps in their collection and make them available as an online database. The maps are primarily copies of lotting plans, though there are some originals. The lotting plans divided land among the original proprietors of the town. Most maps date from approximately 1760 to 1810. Currently, there are 235 maps available. To search the database and view the maps, visit http://vermont-archives.org and click on “survey maps and lotting plans.” "
