The Heerfort mentioned on my website in regard to the Traphagen family is
the
present day German city of Herford in Westphalia. I would think that
Heerfort
mentioned in the New Amsterdam lidmaten could be a Dutch version of
Hartford,
Connecticut. The Dutch claimed this region at one time so it is not
impossible that she did not return to Europe just moved to a different area
in North
America.
