I'm looking for the birth record of my father in law. On my husbands
birthcertificate his place of birth is listed as Tennington, Middlesex and
we feel that he was probably born in September, 1933. He had a twin sister
Esther (or Ethel or something similar).

On my sister in laws birthcert. his birth place is given as Slough,
Buckinghamshire and his name as Albert Alexander King.

Since he jumped ship in Sydney, Australia before moving on to New Zealand
where he married and raised his family, he obviously falsified some if not
all of his records.

He is now deceased (died in Australia in 1982) and so now all the
information we have is what his children can recall of what he told them
about his past ( which was very little ) I am going to apply for his death
Cert. and try to locate his marriage records although any information is
likely to be false as well.

I intend to compile all the peices of information and follow the different
leads but at the moment the information I first gave seems to be the most
likely.
Although there is apparently no such place as Tennington, Middlesex, there
is a Teddington so this will be my first place to search.

I am also searching for the records of my mother in law - Annie Ruti DENCH
born Nelson, New Zealand in May/June 1930.

Any thoughts or ideas are greatly appreciated as I am very new to genealogy.
