Thanks to the new edition of the NZSG Index on CD, I recently discovered
that my grandfather leased land in the Mangahao Survey District around
1911. I would like to obtain a copy of the Memorandum of Lease no. 6873,
which appears to have been lodged with the Lands Registry Office in
Wellington. Can anyone tell me how one goes about this? I have experience
researching land in NSW, but the New Zealand system seems to be quite
different. I have tried looking for information on who to contact through
the NZ government's official site, but with no luck.
