There is a book giving names of the European signatories, but not the
audience.
However some of them would have been the crew and passengers off Hobson's
ship;
the missionaries at Kerikeri;
and possibly other missionary sites in the vicinity;
other inhabitants of Kerikeri,
possibly Bishop Pompallier's people from Kororareka- Pompallier himself did
not attend the signing, although he attended the meetings beforehand.
people from any other ships in port, including whalers;
2 of my ancestors- John Edmonds and William Motion, maybe Maryanne Edmonds
and children as well.
It's interesting that no list seems to have been kept, but, is the audience
recorded at public occasions even now?
