I've seen your posting before, but it seems that you've not actually told us
why
a) you don't know her real name
b) you can't find the marriage

BOTH should be easily found by registration indexes of Scottish birth and
marriages records.

Once you have her full name and married name - then she may ring bells here
in NZ and you may find the family - or someone will have something else to
go on to assist you with here.

Subject: [NZ] A Needle In A Haystack!

Hello,

I am just re-posting my nearly lost cause quest to locate a relative of my
mother's, using very vague clues.

Dolly Johnstone, (proper given name unknown), b. 1890s at Crear Farm, parish
of Kilberry & Kilcalmonell, Argyll, Scotland - daughter of Tom Johnstone -
married a New Zealand soldier (name unknown) during WW1 & went to NZ to
live. The soldier was reportedly of Maori heritage.

All I can add is that Dolly had siblings, John, Archie, George, Tom, Cathie
& Peggy. All remained in Scotland, it seems, except John who went to Canada.
Thank you to anyone who might have an idea how I might solve this mystery.

Mary
in Canada
