Hi List,
The image file size on the Papers Past Web Site can get huge! This
makes them too slow to download over your average modem connection. I
have much more success at work were my connection to the internet is
through our server. (ie the time to download an individual page is
reduced to about 1/4. )
You could try accessing this site from an Internet Cafe, if there is one
close to you. Depending on the type of connection they are using you may
find it much quicker than your home PC.
I've taken printing to printing those pages which look like they might
contain something interesting or important, then (with the use of a
magnifying glass) read them at my leisure. It's still time consuming but
I can reduce my time in front the computer and have some great bed time
reading.
