I've had a look at 'Wises Directories' for 1916 and 1918 for Majoribanks St. The Directory lists the occupants of the street and if there was a hospital and/or nursing home there it would be listed. The Directory also has a 'trade' listing of 'Private Hospitals and Nursing Homes' and, although there were a number in Wgtn at the time, there are no listings for Majoribanks St.
It is most likely that the place you are looking for was not a formal nursing home but a house operated by a registered nurse. There are a number of women listed as householders in the street (but with no occupation showing). A check against the electoral roll may uncover a nurse.
The 'Wises Directories' should be available on microfiche at your closest main library.
