Personal view.
Anzac Day is the equivalent of Remembrance Day in Australia and New Zealand.
November 11th was always known as Armistice Day in the UK and I believe this
day is still observed in Canada.
In addition, some veterans observe special days relating to their particular
service organisation.
Battle of Britain - Air Force; Neptune Day - Navy; Merchant Navy Day -
Merchant Seamen; Korean
and Viet Nam service folk their special day.
The term `Remembrance Day' is new to me.
