p.19 DAWSON, Mr A, aged 91, Ngaruawahia. Drowned. Saw active service as a member of the Waikato Militia. For some years on the board of the Newcastle Roads Board. Survived by a widow, 1 son & 3 daughters: Mr A Dawson, Taupiri; Mrs D Wallace, Te Aroha; G Graves, Ngaruawahia; J Graham. [AWN 21.10.1915]

p.21 BYRNE, John, aged about 60, killed at Otira Tunnel, Tuesday of last week, crushed between the electric motor and wall. Survived by a widow and 13 children. [AWN 21.10.1915]

p.21 RUDDY, William, aged 65, knocked down by a motor car in Hobson Street and died in hospital. He is a widower, residing with his son in law, W Byrnes, 59 Wyndham Street. [AWN 21.10.1915]

p.21 LUCAS, Mr U, Chief Messenger at the Parliamentary Bldg, Wellington, dropped dead on Queen's Wharf on Friday. [AWN 21.10.1915]

p.21 WATSON, Mr James, merchant tailor, drowned on Saturday in a small stream behind his dwelling. He was late President of the local Caledonian Club. [AWN 21.10.1915]

p.21 BOYENS, Doris, aged 8, youngest d/o Mr Wm H Boyens, was thrown from a horse and kicked in the head. She died instantaneously. [AWN 21.10.1915]

p.21 BRYANT, Mr George, settler at Karaka, was killed last week from the bolting of a horse which he was holding. Funeral at Mauku. [AWN 21.10.1915]

p.21 ADAMS, W, well known cross country horseman, injured at Hastings last Saturday when his mount 'Gladful' fell in the Tomoana Hurdles. [AWN 21.10.1915]

p.21 SMITH, Mrs Margaret, aged 29, w/o Walter Smith, Painter of Birkenhead. Inquest verdict: Heart failure accentuated by exhaustion due to pain and vomiting caused by a tumour of the brain. [AWN 21.10.1915]

p.31 DORAN - The 4 year old son of Mr George Doran was killed at Kaiapoi through a spring dray falling on him. [AWN 21.10.1915]
