Back in December I offered approximately 20 years of the New Zealand Society of Genealogist magazines to anyone on the list for postage only.
These were duly sent off. How disappointing it is that three months later I still haven't received the $18.50 it cost me to send them. I ended up repackaging them twice as the first time they were in small boxes and the cost was going to be approx. $60 I thought this was too expensive so made other enquires regarding sending and managed to put in larger boxes for the $18.50. It was lucky that I did that or now I would have been $60 out of pocket. It is not a large amount of money but it certainly makes one think about doing anything like that again. Next time they can just go to the recycling centre, that takes no time and no effect just put them out at the gate to be collected.
This same person on our list was a couple of weeks ago offering to help other people with research, I just hope they don't get caught in any way.
I have sent about 6 emails to this person, but haven't received a reply, not surprising really is it.
