Hi Jim

One possible source could be the biographies in the "Cyclopaedia of
New Zealand", a series of weighty volumes available at most major
libraries either as original books or reproductions. Some folk have
CD copies of them.

I don't know when the one for the Wellington region was published but
if it was 1903 or earlier there may be an entry for Walter George
ROBINSON, sheepfarmer of Foxton.

If later than 1903, all may not be lost. Fathers and sons or brothers
often farmed together for a time. Sometimes those biographies mention
deceased relatives. There may be entries for other ROBINSON in the
area who may be related and name Walter George ROBINSON
