I am interested in Sir William Herbert HERRIES (1859-1923) and his wife Catherine Louisa ROCHE of Shaftesbury, Te Aroha. According to the online Dictionary of New Zealand Biography, Sir William emigrated to New Zealand from England, and was married at Te Aroha on 4 Dec 1889.

I am trying to identify an elderly couple in some photos probably taken in the 1890s, who may have been Catherine's parents. They have "Mrs Herries, Shaftesbury, Te Aroha, Auckland" written on the reverse, but the subjects are too old to have been Sir William & his wife. Does anyone have any further information about his wife's family, please, reportedly from neighbouring Ohineroa, which might help to support my theory?
