During the First World War my newly found school friend from London, has scanned me a page out of her Grandfathers Autograph book. He was Lieutenant Commander of the British Army and Navy Leave (wouldnt that be League?) Club in Paris.. I will list the NZ names, and if anyone is descended from them. I will forward the image to you...she adds that it is from the 4th son of JN de Beer the diamond mine people in South Africa, there are also SA names there as well. Also names from London.

Also on the letter the initials S. A. N. L. C I have just found out on trusted Google that means South African Native Labour Corps..

Perhaps this letter should be sent to South African Military History..

Robert M. Hacket. Auckland. New Zealand.
M. L. Reading. Christchurch. New Zealand ( wonder if related to Reading of Clareville/Carterton?
George Fenwick. Dunedin. New Zealand.
W.J.Geddis. Wellington. New Zealand.

I will also send the details to a friend who is in South Africa...

On top of the page it does say DOMINION JOURNALIST DELEGATION, so perhaps the above names were journalists?
