Killed in Action 26 October 1918 in the field in France. Charles was the son of Charles Edward & Clara SHARMAN (née JONES).

He had at least 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Jonathon Stephen who was a Fireman at Ohakune when he enlisted in WW1. Jonathon married
Christina MacKENZIE in 1921.
Lionel Alfred married Ena Rachel WATSON in 1928. William Leslie married Margaret Ann STEVENS in 1927. Leslie was a Cycle Mechanic
and they lived at 27 High Street, MASTERTON. Both died on the same day 15 Feb 1937 and are buried at Kelvin Grove, Palmerston North.
Stephen Victor married Flora Elizabeth STEVENS in 1934. Sisters, Mabel and Myrtle.
