Hi Fiona

I found the Nominee named on the passenger list of the ship that carried my
mob. In my case it was her husband, who had travelled to NZ the year
before, who nominated his wife & children.

Subject: [NZ] Nominated Immigrants 1874

My g-g-grandfather John CARR and family arrived in Dunedin on the Asia in
1874 as nominated immigrants from Ireland - and no, they were not part of
the 'group of disrepute' from the Cork workhouse on the same ship as far as
I know:)

Is there any way of finding who nominated them? I am hoping it was a family
member - possibly Hubert CARR?

Thanks
Fiona
