Despite various enquiries cannot locate any evidence of her passing
except that her telephone has been disconnected. Any clues/news or advice ?"

If you are still trying to solve this, you could try contacting the
Waipa District Council and ask if she has been buried in one of their
cemeteries recently, or cremated at their crematorium (if they have
one). They don't have much in the way of cemetery information on their
web site, but contact details are on their home page at
http://www.waipadc.govt.nz/
