Quoting Jacqueline Walles <>:

"...Mrs GARDNER of Gardner's Dining-rooms, Queen-street Wharf, died from
suppressed smallpox..."

These are wonderful snippets, thank you.

My question is could any lister point me in the right direction to get a list of
some of these medical terms, eg "suppressed smallpox".

I have tried via Cyndi's list and other avenues to get access to Dr Paul Smith,
but no luck, so I don't know whether he lists "suppressed smallpox"! Those
that I have tried are listed below, and I list them here in case there is
someone else interested in some of these archaic terms...

This URL does not list "Suppressed smallpox"
http://www.olivetreegenealogy.com/misc/disease.shtml

or this one
http://www.usgennet.org/usa/ar/county/greene/olddiseases1.htm

or this one, although this is a handy reference site.
http://www.genealogy-quest.com/glossaries/index.html

or this one
http://www.genproxy.co.uk/old_medical_terms.htm

Thanks
Gail
