But...at the end of the day...a few expenses and inconveniences for the flights and accommodation! I wouldn't have passed it up :)

I think most of us should be glad we didn't win.
Another genealogist was telling me today that there were lots of hidden
charges. You had to pay your own meals, departures costs, some of the travel
while you were there, certificates, research costs etc.
And apparently the film crew will dictate where you could go etc to make the
story worthwhile.
I just read in a British genealogy magazine that a lot of "Who Do You Think
You Are?" is staged. For example the episode where the woman walked up the
street showing a picture of a building and asking where it was. Well the
lady in the shop who told her was given the information by the television
crew. She admitted later she had no idea where the building was until the
crew told her.
But it will be interesting to watch the outcome of it all.
