Hi Adele
Yes, there was a "Queen's Scarf".Capatain Coutts was awarded it at
Germiston, Transvaal 1902 during 2nd Boer War. We only have the photo or
part of the photo because Col Porter our gt grandfather was the commanding
officer and is in the group. Unfortunately the photo has been reduced so
that Capt Coutts doesn't appear in my "bit". But the whole thing must be at
Archives or in Timeframes at Alexander Turnbull collection. Whether Capt
Coutts was the only NZ recipient I don't know but that gives you a name to
search by.
