buried in Tehran, in the cemetery that is in the grounds of the British
Embassy

We have a headstone memorial to "Capt Frank NUTTALL, MC. DFC. AFC. Killed at
Kasven, Mesopotamia 18 Sept 1920, Age 33" in the Bromley Cemetery
Christchurch. he is the son of Henrietta Charlotte and William Thomas
Nuttall.
We have an Archives NZ reference to follow up (Fl Lieutenant Nuttall). I
can't recall which is higher: Fl Lieutenant or Captain?
Can anyone recall what fracas there was in Mesopotamia (now Iraq, I believe)
around 1920?
I'm picking that he would be in the RAF as the RNZAF would not have been
formed by then. Am I correct?
We are presuming the decorations are Military Cross, Distingushed Flying
Cross, and ???
Any enlightenment would be greatly appreciated.
