Hi Karen
The little I do know is that only an adopted person can request their own
original birth certificate - this at least in respect of the 1960s. Our
adopted son wanted to know who his birth parents were & he had to make the
request even though he was overseas. Have you found the registration after
the adoption? You could then ring & ask about what to do. Don't know what
happens if the adopted person is dead though.
