Dear Marina,
I'm sure I remember reading some messages of sympathy to the whole list on
the day after the earthquake - it's not easy, on an emailing list, to know
which members live in Christchurch and to have their individual addresses to
email them, unless you've had previous contact.
I thought I'd contacted everyone I knew in Christchurch to see if they were
OK, but yesterday I received a letter from an elderly cousin I'd forgotten
all about.
Luckily she is fine and doesn't seem to hold a grudge against me for not
remembering her!
