None of the people in the passenger list on
http://www.angelfire.com/az/nzgenweb/otherOtago.html appears in the
passenger list on
http://www.yesteryears.co.nz/shipping/passlists/canterbury.html.
We know that the YesterYears information matches that of
www.familysearch.org and perhaps can conclude that this is the passenger
list for the 1879-1880 sailing of the Canterbury.
Perhaps Joseph and Jane Ann did not emigrate on the Canterbury. Perhaps the
Canterbury's manifest is incomplete as Corey suggests.
Perhaps the Angelfire names are passengers who boarded the Canterbury at
Port Chalmers, for onward travel to another port in NZ.
Not sure what to make of this yet. I'd like to know the source of the
Angelfire data.
Regards
Kevin
