Hi Amanda,

> as an occupation in the 1841 uk census.

Why don't you ask the question in a forum where your question is
on-topic, such as one for the county in the UK where your census was taken?

You're more likely to find someone who knows the answer.

If you include more information about the particular line of the census
that you're asking about - in a forum where your question is on-topic -
you might just make contact with someone who also has a connection to
that person. That is, a cousin of some sort.

Go to http://lists.rootsweb.ancestry.com/ and type in a relevant search
term (such as the county concerned) in the "find a mailing list" box to
find a mailing list that is on-topic for your query (subscription is
required, just like this list). Or go to http://boards.rootsweb.com/
(or http://boards.ancestry.com/) to find a message board (no
subscription required, both URLs go to the same boards).

Hope this helps. :-)

Kind Regards,
Wendy
