It is not only amateur genealogists who refuse to correct their errors.

The online version of the Dictionary of NZ Biography gives my three times
great grandparents marriage as being in England late 1840 or early 1841.
They even got her name wrong.

In fact they were married in Sydney, NSW, on 13 February 1843 - I have the
certificate.

I have twice told the Te Ara people and provided the documentary evidence
but they have done nothing.

Of course the difference in dates means the first child was born before
they were married and nice people didn't do that in those days. Or did
they?
