Hey guys,
Sorry, I missed the detail of most wanted: I guess my biggest search is
for GILBERT. My gggreat-grandmother was Isabella Gilbert and supposedly
was born on an Indian reservation (Cherokee). B. 1 Feb 1839-Boliver,
Polk, Missour. Married 26 Jan 1861, ,,Stone, MO to my
gggreat-grandad Thomas JEfferson Harp. She died 8 Jan 1928 Clifty,
Madison Arkansas.
I have further info, not confirmed that her mother was a Manerva
Gilbert. Isabella's dad (Isaac ? maybe?) died while she was young and
Manerve married a Mr. Lewis, so Isabella went by Isabella Lewis for most
of her life.
Any clues would be greatly appreciated. There are lots of Gilberts
history I've found at the library, but this is a hard one, because
Manerva must have had the Cherokee blood and I don't think the Gilberts
wanted that in their history or something.
Thanks,
Jana
