Those of us who voted were glad to help you out. I am sure that those
who did not had a good reason.

Incidentally, I was the pest who wrote in a while back about getting
nasty little messages from Netscape when I tried to log on my ISP which
were basically "cannot find host....server does not have a DNS
entry...". I talked with the ISP again today, as I had a rotten time a
couple of days ago trying to log on. He claims that the phone lines are
to blame as others were online with his ISP with no difficulty. Is there
any way to check the quality of the phone line so that when I call GTE I
can tell them that they DO have a problem with noisy lines?

Is there anywhere I can call, write or otherwise pester that can get
something done with this joke of a phone system they call "GTE"? Don't
recommend the Alabama Public Service Comission - been there, done that.
All I got was my "T.S." card punched. Is there a good place to deluge on
the net? Oh, to have Ma Bell!
