Hi,
At last, something useful that I can contribute!
My home town is Pawtucket,RI. Pawtucket is the birth place of the industrial
revolution. We have the historic Slater Mill, the first cotton mill in the
country, here on the banks of the Blackstone River. The mill was built in
1793 by Samuel Slater and currently has a reconstructed water wheel in
operation.
There are several other historic sites in Pawtucket, including the Daggett
House in Slater Park.
And let's not McCoy Stadium, home of the Pawtucket Red Sox, the Boston Red
Sox AAA team. The stadium is currently undergoing renovations that will
really make it a show place.
