I'd say you should put down the actual place, city, county, state
that you were born. I was born in one county....my mom was staying
at her parents' home for my birth and after I was born, she went to
her home in an adjoining county. My birth, however, is recorded in a
county where I never actually resided.
A similar situation occurred with my husband. His mom went to her
mother-in-law's in an adjoining county for his birth as her M-I-L was
going to care for another young child in the family and take care of
her after my husband was born. He was actually only in his
grandparents home a couple weeks before he and his mother and little
sister returned to their home - 20 or 25 miles away. His birth
record shows his birthplace as his grandmother's home, in the
adjoining county.
