Hi Marie, I sent you several websites to look over concerning the Dye
family. Here is my info. Arthur Dye, son of Martin and Margaret Sisson
Dye, was born May 18, 1673 in Lunenburg Parish, Richmond Co. VA. died
1727 in the same place married ca 1697 in Richmond Co. VA. to Katherine
Hopkins, daughter of Robert and Katherine Hopkins, who was born ca 1668
in Richmond Co. VA. They had a son, Avery, who was born March 6, 1688 in
Richmond Co. VA. died 1750 in Richmond Co. VA. married ca 1710 in
Richmond Co. VA. to Catherine McMillan, daughter of John and Frances
Newman McMillan, who was born in VA died ca 1780 in VA. The children of
Avery and Catherine McMillan Dye were.........
1. Frances married ca 1750 in Richmond Co. VA. to George Newman
2. William born 1719 in VA. died before 1810 in Berte Co. NC. married
Elizabeth Brown
3. Avery born 1711 in Richmond Co. VA
4. Martin born 1715 in Richmond Co. VA. married Hannah Ann Beckham
5. George born 1730 in Richmond Co. VA.
6. Fauntleroy born and died 1742 in Richmond Co. VA.
