Death Rides in Joy Riders Car:
One dead and Another Dying as Result of an Automobile Wreck Saturday
(Jun 28?)

Herbert B. WHITTON received a message from Napa on Monday stating that
John CADAN, one of those injured in an automobile wreck some distance
from Napa Junction, on Saturday night, had died from the effects of the
accident. Coroner BROWNLEE of Napa County took a jury to the scene of
the accident Monday afternoon to view the place. CADAN was bookkeeper of
the First National Bank of Vallejo.

The automobile in which CADAN was riding was driven by Thomas O'BRIEN.
Other occupants of the car were Raymond LUCHSINGER and Arthur GREEN of
Vallejo. They were returning from a dance on the WALSH place in Napa
county and dashed into a surrey driven by W.L. YATES of Napa. He was
hurled from the vehicle, which was wrecked, and was badly hurt, and his
little grandson, Harold CHRISTIE, may die from the effects of concussion
of the brain.
