Mrs. J. J. TREZONA has returned to the city.

Mrs. Solomon SAX was a Duluth visitor recently.

Matt MIROSLAVICH was a McKinley visitor yesterday.

P. J. WELCH of Two Harbors was in the city Monday.

H. E. LOYE was at Biwabik on mining business Tuesday morning.

John ANDERSON and STELLA WOLD drove over to McKinley Monday.

Miss Cora MANLEY of Biwabik visited friends here a few days this week.

Miss Cora DUFRESNE of the Fayal visited friends at the Elba Monday afternoon.

Agent BEATTY of Duluth & Iron Range at Allen Jct. was a business visitor in
town Friday.

Geo. SHELTON and Mrs. Gertrude GREEN of Virginia were united in marriage by
Judge PRINCE yesterday.

Miss Jessie McNEILL of Eveleth accompanied by her sister, Miss Sadie McNEILL
of Virginia spent Sunday in Duluth.

F. C. TALBOYS of Duluth visited the range this week. He came into Eveleth on
the evening train on the D. & I. R. Monday evening.

The Ladies of the Presbyterian church will meet Thursday afternoon with Mrs.
T. A. PRATT of Jones street. The customary 10 cent lunch will be served.

Next Sunday is Septuagesima Sunday and at St. John's Episcopal church there
will be divine service at 10:45 a.m. Morning prayer will be said and the
rector will preach. A cordial invitation is given to all to attend.

Five weddings took place in the Holy Family church Monday morning Rev. Father
BILBAN officiating. Those married being Paul SILC to Antonia LAURIC, both of
Sparta; John JAKELJ to Magdalena CVITKOVIC, Frank MIHELCIC to Anna PETRIC,
Joseph OVEN to Mary TRONTAR, and Anton DRAGAR to Sofija LAH, of Eveleth.

The Liljan Lodge masquerade dance in Monitor hall Saturday night was a money
maker, $70 being realized. Mrs. Oscar OLSON, as a queen, took prize for the
best character, Mris. Lizzie ANDERSON for ugliest mask, and Erick HANSON of
Virginia for the most comical, a coon dude. CHRISTIANSON's orchestra of
Aurora furnished the music.

August PERRY has effected two deals whereby he is able to retire from
business in Eveleth according to his plans as announced in The News recently.
On Monday he sold the Simi & Perry Hardware to Adolph OLLILA and a silent
partner and Tuesday he sold his store at 114 Grant ave. to C. R. JOHNSON of
the Johson Supply Co. Mr. PERRY will remain in Eveleth three to five months
to settle up his business affairs.
