She Saved the Evening
By her humorous selections Miss Victoria LYNN, of the Colonial Saxaphone
Quartette company, saved the evening from being utterly wearisome Saturday
night in Vail hall. The young gentlemen who posed as entertainers were of an
indifferent sort and appeared enough Colonial to be almost provincial. The
same old songs with pantomine, some of which have been pretty well rendered
by other artists in former years, were struggled through by the quartette.
Miss LYNN had a poor subject in a story of spending $1,500 by a widow and a
daughter, but other recitations were quite mirth provoking and she was given
three encores.
