COUNTY CORRESPONDENCE
DETROIT
Thomas HEAVENER, Sr., is in a very serious condition from the effects of a
paralytic stroke. As he has just recovered from a severe illness, the stroke
is, indeed, unfortunate.
March 30, 1897
Thomas HEAVENER, Sr., whose illness from a paralytic stroke was mentioned by
our correspondent at Detroit in Friday's issue, died and was buried on
Sunday. He was the son of Jacob HEAVENER, one of the very earliest settlers
of the county, who was a great hunter. He leaves a widow, five children
living and two dead, four sisters and two brothers. He was aged a little
over sixty years.
