Obituary

Miss Alice Dalton
Last Thursday AT 7 o'clock, Miss Alice Dalton died at
the home of her sister, Mrs. Alfred Cooley, after several
weeks illness. Deceased was from Boston and came to Alamo-
gordo several weeks ago to spend the winter at her sister's.
Although not feeling well when she arrived, it did not seem
anything was serious until typhoid developed when con-
ditions continually grew worse and death finally resulted.
The remains were shipped on the 13th to her home in the
east, and were accompanied by a brother and Mrs. Cooley.

Obituary

William H. Gleason
Mr. William H. Gleason passed away at the Hotel Dieu in
El Paso last Thursday morning at one o'clock. In Mr.
Gleason, Alamogordo loses one of its most valued friends
and citizens, as he ws the type of man who besides giving
freely towards any enterprise of a boosting nature, always
helped a friend when in need. Deceased was thirty-nine
years old and leaves a wife to mourn his loss. Burial
took place in Chicago at Rose Hill Cemetery, the funeral
being the auspices of the Elks, of which me was a member.

Wedding

Stein-Cronkhite
A very pretty wedding was solemnized at the residence of
D. C. Jones on New York Avenue, at 4:00 o'clock Monday
afternoon, when Miss Martha Stein became the bride of
Hugh D. Cronkhite. Only a few intimate friends and
members of the family were present. Rev. John H. Murray
performed the ceremony. Both of these young people are
residents of Highrolls and are well known and popular.
Miss Stein for a long while made her home with the
Joneses. Mr. Cronkhite is a Superintendent for the
Highrolls Development Company farm.
