Born to Mr./Mrs. A.G. LEIGH, Geyserville, Sept. 28, 1882, son.
Died at San Francisco, Sept. 28, 1882, Arthur THING; aged 49y; sudden
and unexpected death; native of Maine; came to CA. 1849; resided in
Healdsburg 14 years; he recently suffered a compound fracture of the
right leg and was conveyed to San Francisco for the best surgical
attendence, but mortification set in; the remains were returned to
Healdsburg and he was buried at Oak Mound Cemetery; besides a widow, who
is the niece of Alexander DUNCAN and Mrs. Thos. BEACOM, three daughters,
Hettie, Annie and Mollie, and a son, Freddie remain.
Died at San Francisco, Sept. 26, 1882, Mrs. Mary J. SIMPSON, wife of
Jas., and daughter of J.S. BLAZER, both of Alexander Valley; aged 36y;
cause disease of the heart; buried at Oak Mound Cemetery, Healdsburg on
Sept. 29th; leaves a husband and 5 children, the eldest 18 years of age,
the youngest being 5.
Died at El Passo, Tx., Sept. 26, 1882, Lallie H. DUNCAN, daughter of
Alexander and A.J. DUNCAN of Duncan's Mills.
The sudden death of our candidate for Superintendent of Schools, James
FAULKNER, occurred at his home in Bodega, on Sunday last and was caused
by hemorrhages from the lungs. He was a faithful husband, son and
brother; graduate of Illinois Industrial University; aged 30y.
We learn by note from Mrs. FRYE, that Mrs. Wm. MORTON, nee Jennie
JOHNSON, is the proud mother of a pretty daughter since the 27th ult.

Died at Petaluma, Oct. 1, 1882, Mrs. Hannah MOODY, wife of S.S.; native
of Ind.; aged 77y.
Died near Windsor, Oct. 10, 1882, Thomas J. BROOKS; native of Mo.; aged
36y.
Married at Santa Rosa, Oct. 9, 1882, Amelia L. MINKEL, Healdsburg, to
Andrew J. GREAVER, Guerneville.

Died at Healdsburg, Oct. 13, 1882, Mrs. Clara, wife of G.W. STEDMAN;
aged 30y; daughter of J.A. JOHNSON, formerly of this city, now of
Oregon; born in Norway, came to this country and Iowa when quite young,
married there in 1874 and came to California; demise caused by a severe
cold resulting in consumption; member of Methodist church; leaves
husband and 4 little children, ages 2 to 7.
Died near Healdsburg, Oct. 18, 1882, Mattie F., daughter of J.F. and
S.T. McCUTCHAN, aged 3m 15d.
Died near Healdsburg, Oct. 18, 1882, Clara W., daughter of J.H. and Nora
B. WOODS, aged 9y 8m 26d.

city, died in 1873; remains were interred at Oak Mound Cemetery,
Healdsburg; his daughters, Mrs. TOBIN and Mrs. HARLOW remain.
