Louis GOBLEY is charged with stealing six tons of hay from John FOY'S
barn in Fresno.
In Tuolomne co., John FARRELL was convicted of murdering Lyman D.
RANDALL, and sentenced to life in prison.
The teeth in the skull found in Garden Valley, Napa co., are Pete
OLSEN'S.
William SHAFER shot and killed himself by accident, 10 miles north of
Enumclaw, Wash. Terr.
Charles W. SMITH, one time proprietor of the American Hotel, died in
Fresno county on the 4th inst.
M. RYAN, who was terribly burned at Occidental three or four weeks ago,
died at the County Hospital.
Jack SULLIVAN, notorious chicken thief, was sentenced to the County Jail
for 30 days.
Mike SLATTERY, was charged with battery.
Lucy JONES, wife of Thos. B. JONES, here from Dakota for a short time
and living on the farm of S.L. OSBORNE, hanged herself in a fit of
temporary insanity, she was aged 46y and very religious.

Married at Santa Rosa, Dec. 19, 1888, Abner RAFFERTY to Susana HARBINE.
Died at Alexander Valley, Dec. 18, 1888, Lucy, wife of Thomas B. JONES,
46y.
Died at Healdsburg, Dec. 14, 1888, Mrs. Hannah S. MORRIS, 63y 10m.
Died at Santa Rosa, Dec. 15, 1888, Mrs. Isaac PARSONS.
Died at Forestville, Dec. 13, 1888, S.B. RICKETT.
William STANLEY, Santa Rosa, fell from a load of hay and fractured his
wrist.
A serious accident occurred at the ADLER Farm Wednesday. A fine, large
turkey that had been fattened for Christmas dinner, had the misfortune
to fall in the water tank and drown. Joe is terribly grieved over the
loss.
Charley LEARD has accepted a position on the dairy ranch of S. MARKWELL,
near Santa Rosa.
Mrs. Sarah REESE, Oakland, is the guest of her sister, Mrs. I.A. DELANO.
